Purple with a white halo around a small gold dignal.

This iris is what we call a Robusta, a cross between I. virginica and I. versicolor. What makes this cross special is the foliage. In the early spring, the foliage will emerge a beautiful purple color. As the season progresses the foliage will turn green. To top that, each bloom stem will be a deep purple black color. Add what we call "hybrid vigor" and you get a truly unique iris with garden interest all season.
