From the gulf coast of the United States...
come a handful of species of iris we call Louisiana Iris. These are true water irises, prefering to have their roots constantly wet. However, they also perform exceptionally well in a normal garden setting but are not drought tolerant. Please note that in the Puget Sound area of Washington, the foliage tends to turn yellow and/or develop black spots. Still, the blossoms are too good to ignore. We only grow a few of the better performers, and we are certain you will like them.
