Warning - this may not be correctly classified! This beauty was collected by Dan Hinkley and he has it listed as I. delavayi - black form. The first year I grew it, it bloomed at about 18", the flower looked much like I. chrysographes, and I thought Dan had made a mistake. The second year it bloomed at 32" and the flower took on a more "delavayi-ish" form. I mentally apologized to Dan for all the bad thoughts that had passed through my brain.Whether I. delavayi or I. chrysographes, this is one spectacular flower and I appreciate Dan for getting it to me!
